This is a painting of Dolores Park, currently hanging on the wall at the Dolores Park Cafe.

I went sailing once with my Dad when I was a kid, and once with my Aunt when I was a teenager. Around 1999 I was reintroduced to sailing by a good friend and that’s when I got the bug, big time. I purchased a 22 foot sailboat and taught myself the basics. Then I swapped that for a 36 foot sailboat! I thought that I had bitten off a bit more than I wanted to chew (note the Atomic Four engine replacement project), so I traded that for a 30 foot sailboat in August of 2001. I have been sailing that boat ever since.
About a year later, in September of 2002, I put up a simple web site about my sailing, with an invitation for folks interested in sailing with me. I was also keeping a separate “blog” of some of the sailing trips. In January of 2006 I took those pieces and combined them into a single project, a new dedicated section of my web site:
I hope folks find this information interesting and useful!
I’ve upgraded the site to WordPress 2.x. So far, so good. I have turned on the comment feature, so if you’d like to comment on the articles or pictures here, please do so. You will need to register and I’ll have to approve comments before they post. As I’m sure you understand, that is to prevent “spam comments.” Geesh.
