Here’s how to make sure Google Notifier for the Mac always encrypts passwords via https:

• Click on the Google Notifier icon on the menu bar.
• Hold down Command and Option and click Preferences. A “Key” and “Value” dialog box should come up.
• For “Key” type in “SecureAlways” (without quotes) and for “Value” type in “1″ (without quotes).
• Click “Set” then close the dialog box.
• Exit Google Notifier and relaunch it.
